Our Services
Eye Examinations
A comprehensive eye health examination is performed with a microscopic exam of the external eye and a dilated exam of the internal structures of the eye.
Contact Lens Exams:Additional services are offered after a comprehensive eye exam to fit
contact lenses. We evaluate the ocular health of the eye to insure there
are no underlying health concerns that would complicate successful contact
lens wear. The doctor will present choices to provide the best options
for your vision and lifestyle. Many times you will be able to leave the
office with lenses to try first before having to purchase the year’s
supply.
School Eye Exams:
The Commonwealth of Kentucky
requires all public school children have a comprehensive eye exam at
an eye doctor’s office upon entry into preschool or kindergarten.
Dr LeClear recommends annual exams thereafter to prevent children from
getting behind in school if their vision should change as they grow.
We have all the required forms needed by your school.
We can diagnose and manage eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, damage
to the eye from diabetes, macular degeneration, keratoconus, eye infections,
eye injuries, eye allergies, and dry eye.
Glasses and Contact Lenses
We can also measure and prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Scleral Lenses
Scleral contacts are lenses designed to align and fit on the white part of the
eye called the sclera, completely vaulting over the cornea. This lens design
is a rigid, gas permeable lens that holds a large volume of liquid under the
lens making it ideal for treating patients with dry eye and extreme corneal
irregularity (keratoconus, corneal grafts, high amounts of irregular astigmatism).
Non-surgical corneal reshaping (Orthokeratology)
An alternative to laser eye surgery, it allows freedom from wearing glasses or daytime contact lenses. Precision corneal retainer lenses are worn only at night to gently and safely change the shape of the eye. Ask for a free consultation to see if you are a candidate for this exciting treatment!
